Matthew 25:14-30 (CEB)
Faithful When No One's Watching

What you do when no one is watching is the thing that tells you who you are. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a story about a master who hands his servants enormous sums and then leaves, for a long time, with no supervision. Two go to work. One digs a hole and buries what he was given. The praise that meets the faithful ones is not about the size of the return; it is the same words for both: faithful over a little.

This is week two of The Gospel on Stage and Screen, pairing the summer's biggest stories with the parables of Jesus. The screen companion this week is Toy Story 5, a franchise built on what the toys do when the child leaves the room. Grace Group questions are in this week's guide.

Worship at McPherson First on Sundays at 8:30 AM (hymns and organ) and 10:15 AM (praise team), or online at youtube.com/@mcphersonfirst.
