On Wednesday, September 2, McPherson First UMC's fall Wednesday rhythm begins. The goal is simple: the whole family in the building at the same hour, with something meaningful for everyone.

Starting at 6:00 PM:

  • KidsZone for school-age children, led by Karen Jonas
  • Middle School Youth Group, led by Sarah Hendricks
  • Adult Grace Groups, an hour of conversation, growth, and watching over one another in love. Sep 2 is an orientation and taster in the Chapel; groups begin Sep 9
  • Nursery for toddlers and babies of parents in Grace Groups

High school students are invited to help in the nursery from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, a chance to serve and be part of the whole family in the building before their own group gathers.

Starting at 7:15 PM:

  • High School Youth Group, led by Sarah Hendricks

New this year: Adult Grace Groups meet at the same hour as KidsZone and Youth Group, so parents and other adults have a place to be while their kids are in the building. One hour, three honest questions, nothing to prepare. The fall season runs September 2 through November 18. See the dates and let us know you are interested.

The Back to School Bash on Wednesday, Aug 26 is the on-ramp. Come to the Bash, meet the people you will spend Wednesday nights alongside, and walk into Sept 2 ready.

All are welcome, and nothing is required in advance. KidsZone and Youth Group need no registration. Adults gather in the Chapel on Sep 2 to find out what a Grace Group is before joining one, so come and see. Bring a friend. Bring a neighbor.
