Back to School Bash

The first days of school are in the books. On Wednesday, August 26, McPherson First UMC throws the Back to School Bash, an intergenerational evening for school families and the whole congregation.

From 6:00 to 7:30 PM, our Intergenerational Ministry Team serves hot dogs, chips, and watermelon, with a make-your-own ice cream sundae bar for dessert. No registration. Come hungry.

Activity stations run all evening around the building. Step into the photo booth with chalkboard grade signs for a first-day picture. Decorate a picture frame to take home. Write a name on the prayer wall so we can pray for your student, teacher, and school through the year. Make a card for a teacher. Play Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, and corn hole in the indoor games corner. Temporary tattoos, school-themed trivia, and more.

The Bash sets up what comes next. On Wednesday, September 2, our fall Wednesday programming launches: KidsZone, Youth Group, and Adult Grace Groups. Stop by the information table to find where your family fits, and take home a magnet with our worship times.

All are welcome. Grandparents, parents, kids, youth, singles, neighbors, new faces. Bring someone. Come as you are.
