2 Kings 5:1-15a (CEB)
Washed and Welcomed

For six Sundays we follow God's people through one question: whom will you serve? Week four steps outside the household of faith, to a foreign general with a skin disease.

In 2 Kings 5, Naaman has rank, wealth, and the favor of his king, and none of it can heal him. A young girl taken captive from Israel tells his household about a prophet in Samaria. When Elisha's instruction turns out plainer than Naaman expected, his servants talk him out of going home angry. He washes in the Jordan, comes out clean, and comes back confessing faith in Israel's God.

God has never needed important people to get things done. This week's next step is the invitation: pray for one name, ask plainly, and make it easy when they say yes.
