Sign Up for the Civil Rights Tour

Pastor Chantel Makarawa and Pastor Andrew Conard are leading a group through the places where the civil rights movement happened, and they’d be glad to have you along. The Southern Civil Rights Tour runs March 13-19, 2027, flying from Wichita. Register by Tuesday, November 17.

The group will worship at Ebenezer Baptist Church and walk through the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Park in Atlanta. Travelers will stand inside 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, spend a day at the Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge together in Selma, and visit Tuskegee University and the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site.

The price is $3,096. It covers airfare from Wichita, hotels, breakfast and lunch most days, the motor coach, guides, entrance fees, and gratuities. Ground-only is $2,598 if you’d rather get yourself to Atlanta. You don’t need to be a historian or an activist to come, and you don’t need to be from McPherson First.

The trip needs at least 25 travelers to go at this price, so registering early helps everyone still deciding.

How to sign up:

1. Open the registration page at eo.travelwithus.com/tours/dt27031327c60314.
2. Enter the host information. For “Host or Group Leader ID,” enter 60314. For the name, enter Andrew Conard. That places you with the group.
3. Choose your room. Select “single” to open a dropdown. If you know your roommate, choose “My roommate’s name is listed below” and type the name. To have EO match you, choose the top option. EO can’t guarantee a match, and if none is found the $948 single supplement applies.
4. Pay the $100 deposit. No registration is processed without it. Card payments add a 3.5% surcharge; paying by check avoids it.

A $600 second deposit is due November 18, and the balance December 28. Registering after November 18 adds a late fee. If Pastor Chantel invited you, use her registration page with host ID 64227, Chantel Makarawa. Either page puts you on the same trip.
