Native American Ministries Day is one of six churchwide Special Sundays in The United Methodist Church. On this day, we honor Indigenous peoples and support Native American leadership within the church.

Many people lack understanding of Native American life, culture, and spirituality. This observance helps bridge that gap by celebrating Indigenous heritage and empowering Native voices in ministry. Your generosity addresses the critical shortage of Native American pastors and trained leaders, ensuring Indigenous communities have strong representation within the Church.

Your gift works in three ways: Half remains in the Great Plains Annual Conference supporting local Native American ministries through the Committee on Native American Ministries. A quarter funds scholarships for Native American students pursuing ordained or licensed ministry. The remaining quarter supports programs developing new Native ministries, including mentoring and leadership development.

Give during worship on May 17 using the offering plate, the QR code in worship, or give online anytime. Together, United Methodists across the connection multiply our impact—strengthening Native leadership and sustaining ministry for generations to come.
