McPherson First Fair: Find Your Spot!

Striped tablecloths. Popcorn. Mini cans of pop. Carnival music. On Sunday, September 20, the Serve Center becomes a county fair, and every booth is a ministry looking for you.

The McPherson First Fair is open between services, 9:30 to 10:15 AM, and again after the second service, 11:15 AM to 11:30. Eleven tables: Children, Students, Ushers, Greeters, Tech Booth, Music, Hospitality Host, Scripture Reader, Communion Server, Nursery, and the Food Pantry Team.

Pick up a Passport to Serving card on your way in. Every table you visit stamps it, and four stamps puts you in a drawing. Each table is staffed by someone already doing the work, and they would rather tell you what a Sunday morning actually looks like than hand you a clipboard.

The invitation is “try it once.” Read scripture in one service. Usher one Sunday. Every table offers a one-time try and a short-term option right alongside the ongoing roles. Sign up on paper at the table or scan the QR code, and your ministry leader will follow up with you inside a week.
