Go and Grow Sunday

This past spring, our church gave generously to Go and Grow, our campaign to send kids to Camp Horizon and our youth on a mission trip to San Angelo. The gifts came in. The kids packed their bags. The youth piled into vans. And now they are home, changed.

On Sunday, August 9, we close the loop. At both worship services (8:30 AM and 10:15 AM), two or three campers and two or three mission trip students will share what their summer meant. Short testimonies. Real words from real kids about what God did in them this summer. If you gave to Go and Grow, this is what your gift made possible.

After second service, we gather for a thank-you meal in Hess Hall from approximately 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Catered, no registration needed, come-as-you-are. The kids and youth who went to camp and on the mission trip will help host, serve, and clean up. It is the church saying thank you in the most direct way we know: faces around a table, stories being told, food being passed.

This is also the Sunday before our back-to-school sermon series The Good Life begins on August 16. Aug 9 closes the summer and opens the next chapter.
