The first day of school is a lot. Backpacks not quite settled. A shirt that might not survive lunch. A parent in the driver’s seat doing math on coffee and adrenaline. On Tuesday, August 18, McPherson First UMC wants to make that morning a little kinder.

From 7:15 to 8:15 AM, drive through the east side of the church on your way to drop-off. We’ll hand you a donut and a coffee through the window. No need to park, no need to stop. Just roll through and let us bless your morning.

This is year three of the Donut Drive-Thru, and it has become a small back-to-school rhythm for a lot of McPherson families. Karen Jonas and Sarah Hendricks lead it this year, and our prayer goes with every cup we hand out.

All school families are welcome. You do not have to be a member, a regular attender, or have ever set foot in our building. Just drive through. We’ll be looking for you.
