Beautiful handmade quilts, a piece of history, and a chance to care for the whole church. Join us for the Quilt Benefit on Sunday, November 15 in the Serve Center, before and between both worship services.

The Sew Group, with the blessing of our United Methodist Women, has been sewing all year. They will offer handmade throws in many sizes, baby and crib quilts, some twin quilts, and a variety of smaller sewn items, each priced and ready to take home. Come early, browse, and find a keepsake or a gift.

The morning also features a silent auction for a special piece: a vintage Dresden Plate quilt, hand-quilted by our Hand Quilting group and sewn from fabrics believed to date to the 1930s. The quilt goes on display a week early, on Sunday, November 8, so you can look closely and place a bid before benefit Sunday. Bidding closes at 10:15 AM on November 15, and we announce the winner at the close of that service.

Your purchases and winning bids go to Tomorrow First, our capital campaign replacing and upgrading heating and cooling across the building. Please make checks payable to McPherson First United Methodist Church, marked Tomorrow First.

All are welcome. Bring a friend, and help us care for the place where we worship together.
