When our congregation voted to move forward with Tomorrow First last November, we made a commitment to invest in our church's future. Now, just weeks away from construction, that commitment is becoming reality.
The HVAC project is on track. P1 Service has ordered all major components, and their engineers are completing final construction drawings. A kickoff meeting with P1 engineers, project managers, foremen, and our HVAC Ministry Team will happen the second week of February, with physical construction beginning in early March.
What to Expect
Once construction starts, our HVAC Ministry Team will meet weekly with P1 representatives—most likely Wednesday mornings—to coordinate progress. P1 will use room 109 (at the southwest end of the hall by the double doors) as their site office throughout the project.
The team will maintain a three-week rolling construction schedule, giving us advance notice when specific spaces will be temporarily unavailable. While some disruption is inevitable during a project of this scope, effort will be made to minimize impact on ministry programming. Worship services will continue as scheduled throughout construction.
One Point of Contact
Construction projects always bring questions—and sometimes unexpected challenges. To ensure clear communication and efficient problem-solving, Jay Warner serves as our HVAC Ministry Team Chair and primary contact for questions and concerns. Reach Jay at jayamy@lrmutual.com. This approach keeps everyone informed while allowing P1 to focus on the work itself.
Thank You
This project is possible because 110 households made generous three-year commitments totaling $1,844,486—exceeding our $1.75 million goal. Your generosity reflects deep love for this congregation and confidence in God's continued work through McPherson First.
As construction approaches, we'll share regular updates through website articles, weekly emails, and worship announcements. Watch for photos and progress reports as our new HVAC systems take shape this spring and summer.
