Pre-K (Age 4) to 5th Grade
At McPherson First UMC, we provide a safe, loving environment where elementary-age children discover their faith through age-appropriate programs. Our Sunday School meets during the 10:15 AM worship service, where children begin in worship with their families and then move to age-level classrooms during the sermon time for engaging Bible lessons and activities. They return during the offering time, though children are always welcome to stay in worship with their families.
On Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, join us for Kids’ Zone, where we combine fun, worship, and creative learning designed for this age group. Walk into the SERVE Center at 6:00 for snacks and the lesson, head to the sanctuary around 6:20 for a few minutes of worship, and move to classrooms around 6:30 for small groups.

Nursery
At McPherson First UMC, we create a nurturing environment where our youngest children begin their faith journey surrounded by love and care. Our nursery welcomes little ones during the 10:15 AM service, providing a safe space filled with age-appropriate activities and caring staff who share God’s love through play, simple songs, and stories.
Nursery care is for children up to age 6. Our nursery is located in Hess Hall Room 106 and is staffed by caregivers who ensure each child feels secure and loved while parents participate in worship.
