On Sunday, February 22, we celebrate UMW Sunday, honoring the legacy and ongoing ministry of United Methodist Women who transform lives through faith, service, and advocacy. For over 150 years, United Methodist women have stood at the forefront of mission work, community care, and justice advocacy.
UMW (now nationally known as United Women in Faith) continues this sacred work today through prayer groups, community service projects, advocacy for vulnerable populations, and support for women, children, and youth worldwide. Our local UMW chapter continues their faithful witness through hands-on service that makes a tangible difference in our community and beyond.
This Sunday's worship includes special recognition of UMW members and their ministry. Through the story of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus in John 11, we'll explore how faith communities show up for one another when grief meets hope, embodying Christ's compassionate presence in difficult times.
All are welcome to worship at 8:30 AM or 10:15 AM. Whether you're already involved with UMW or discovering their ministry for the first time, this Sunday celebrates how ordinary faithfulness creates extraordinary impact.
