One Worship Service with Children's Program
The fourth Sunday of Advent brings a change to our morning. On Sunday, December 20, McPherson First gathers for one combined worship service at 11:00 AM. There is no 8:30 or 10:15 service and no Sunday school that day.
Our children share a short Christmas program as part of worship. It’s a good Sunday to bring grandparents, neighbors, and friends who haven’t been with us in a while.
Our Advent series, For Such a Time as This, continues with “An Unlikely Father” from Matthew 1:18-25. Joseph had a quiet plan to step away. Instead he said yes to God and made room for a child named Immanuel, God with us.
Nursery care is available. One service means a fuller sanctuary, so plan to arrive a few minutes early.
Holiday worship schedule:
- December 20: One service at 11:00 AM (Children’s Christmas Program)
- December 21: Blue Christmas worship at 7:00 PM
- December 24: Candlelight Christmas Eve at 7:00 and 11:00 PM
- December 27: Christmas Continues, one service at 9:00 AM
- January 3: Regular 8:30 and 10:15 AM services resume
