Participate in the National Day of Prayer on May 1, 2025, by dedicating ten one-minute prayer periods throughout the day for our nation's leadership. This observance traces back to 1775 when the Continental Congress called for prayer during the Revolutionary War, and was formally established by President Truman in 1950. The Great Plains United Methodist Men's (UMM) Prayer Advocate encourages all to pray specifically for our President, legislative leaders, and state and local officials, asking God to guide them toward peace and reconciliation. Choose times that work with your schedule to participate in this nationwide spiritual practice. For questions, contact John Reimer, Great Plains UMM Prayer Advocate, at jandjreim@hometelco.net.
