Candlelight Christmas Eve Offering

On Christmas Eve, the church gives its offering away.

At both candlelight services on Thursday, December 24, McPherson First receives the Candlelight Christmas Eve Offering. Every undesignated gift in the plate that night goes to Neighbor Assistance and back out into McPherson. One hundred percent.

Neighbor Assistance divides evenly. Half stocks the church food pantry, which feeds McPherson families week after week. Half becomes direct assistance, the fund the church draws on when a neighbor comes to the door with an eviction notice, a shut-off notice, or a month that did not stretch.

One note for members: if you plan to fulfill your 2026 giving commitment on Christmas Eve, mark your check or envelope Ministry and the office will credit it exactly as you intended. Anything not marked goes to Neighbor Assistance. If you give online, choose the Neighbor Assistance fund.

Candlelight worship happens at 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM in the sanctuary at 1200 E Kansas Ave. Come sing, hear the story again, hold a candle, and send the whole offering out the door to your neighbors. All are welcome.
