This summer, a group of high school students from McPherson First will travel to San Angelo, Texas, for a week of service, learning, and hope.
In July 2025, San Angelo experienced catastrophic flash flooding that left more than 1,000 homes with major damage. Through our partners Be the Neighbor and Week of Compassion, students will engage in hands-on disaster relief—clearing debris, assisting with home repairs, distributing supplies, and partnering with local response organizations. They will also hear stories from those directly affected and learn what long-term recovery looks like.
This trip is about more than rebuilding homes—it's about rebuilding hope. Students will return with new skills, deeper compassion, and a greater understanding of how we can respond when disaster strikes.
Please keep our mission team in your prayers as they prepare for this experience. If you'd like to support the trip financially, contributions to the Youth Ministry Fund help cover transportation, lodging, supplies, and scholarship assistance.
Families with registered students can complete payment here.
