When temperatures drop and bills rise, your generosity keeps families warm and safe. Through our Neighbor Assistance fund, McPherson First has been able to walk alongside families facing difficult financial moments this winter — and the impact has been significant.

In December, your gifts helped four families keep their lights and water on through the holidays and assisted two families in maintaining stable housing during a financially tight season. Six families entered the new year with one less worry because this church showed up for them.

January brought even greater need. Four families received help with rent payments, two families received utility assistance, and one single mother of six received support to secure a storage unit as she transitions her family into safe housing. That's seven more households touched by the generous spirit of this congregation in just one month.

Across December and January combined, thirteen families experienced the love of Christ in a tangible, practical way — a roof overhead, lights on, and heat running. That's what it looks like when a church lives out its faith beyond Sunday morning.

Our Neighbor Assistance fund supports McPherson neighbors facing financial hardship through emergency assistance, food pantry supplies, diaper ministry, and more. This work is possible because of your faithful giving and your willingness to see neighbors as family. If you or someone you know is facing a financial emergency, please contact the church office at 620-241-3626. If you'd like to support this ministry, you can give to Neighbor Assistance online or place a gift in the offering plate marked "Neighbor Assistance."
